"The Solo Piano Project" is a modern take on the art of transcription and arranging as begun by Franz Liszt. The album features some of the most famous pieces of classical music originally composed for orchestra or as arias within an opera, but reworked here for solo piano, sometimes as note-for-note transcriptions of the original and sometimes in creative ways that allow the solo piano to truly express the grandeur of these pieces in a way never before possible with just a single instrument.
