"For Clementine is a piece I wrote in memory of my late boxer doggy friend, Clementine. We always got a laugh out of her name because at first glance it seemed so strange to call such a big, strong, and muscular dog "Clementine." But to anyone who met her, it was soon obvious she was as sweet, loving, and loyal as any dog could be. Sweet, just like a clementine! The notes I wrote in this piece are meant to show that sweetness and kindness, and keep her memory alive in us, even though she passed away in 2021."
